SEA VU DRY+ READY FOR A NEW GENERATION
Our mask is the generation 2.0 full face, focused on achieving the lowest level of CO2 build-up possible, combined with both visual and technical innovation.
Transparent surfaces to clearly see the face
Ergonomic frame design with low visual-impact
Safe exchange and clearing of gasses, lowest CO2 Build-up
Large air-flow sections
Flat lenses combine to build a 3D shape, able to reduce optical distortion
Our experience in the Diving and Snorkeling equipment market has led us to raise the standard of full face masks and create a product with unique features, both in terms of performance and safety.
Sea Vu Dry + and Sea Vu Dry R + are at the forefront for comfort when breathing and in use.
HOW TO TEST CO2 BUILD UP
When breathing occurs within a closed volume, it can cause CO2 (carbon dioxide) build-up.
Our Research and Development team studied dozens of prototypes, and conducted countless tests with our ANSTI machine, which allows us to measure the residual amounts of CO2 at varying breathing intensity and frequency, in order to identify the best technical solutions.
Reference regulations are EU Standards EN250 and EN14143, widely used in the Scuba Diving industry.
Test results:
VWA CO2 at 10 l/min (Limit: 20 mbar) | VWA CO2 at 62,5 l/min (Limit: 10 mbar) | |
MARES SEA VU DRY + | 17.25 mbar | 8.64 mbar |
Competitor A | 21.11 mbar | 15.02 mbar |
Competitor B | 21.92 mbar | 15.34 mbar |
Competitor C | 20.79 mbar | 12.62 mbar |
Competitor D | 20.23 mbar | 19.49 mbar |
MARES SEA VU DRY + is 14% below both limits, respectively -15% and -32% better than the nearest competitor product.
These test results show that our superior full face mask offers incredible performance like no other!
WHY LOW CO2 BUILD UP?
INHALATION:
The fresh air enters through the snorkel’s central channel, passing the lens, keeping it fog-free. It then enters the oral-nasal pocket through non-return valves and flows towards the nose and mouth.
THE ORAL-NASAL POCKET:
The oral-nasal pocket’s structure guides exhaled CO2 through 4 no-return valves: • 2 no-return valves, one each side of the nose, to prevent backward flow,
• 2 no-return valves at the entrance of the exhalation tubes.
EXHALATION:
Exhaled CO2 is channeled into the soft silicone side tubes through the second pair of no-return valves. Used air flows into the soft side tubes that are closed channels outside the mask, unlike the semi-closed channels used by main competitors.
Expiration progressively expels the used air, discharging CO2 through the snorkel’s emptying channels.
SEA VU DRY + PRISMATIC LENSE
The prismatic lense is a combination of 5 flat surfaces instead of 1. This feature, combined with very precise, rounded edges between the different surfaces, results in the lowest possible optical distortion and the best field of vision on the market, with an optical cone of 180° in all directions.
FINDING YOUR SIZE
Measure the distance between the bridge at the top of your nose and the bottom of your chin.
Size S/M if the distance is between 10cm(3.9”) and11,5cm (4.5”) - Fits adults with thin faces, women and children over 10 years old.
Size L/XL if it is more than 11,5 cm (4.5”) - For an adult male, or larger faces.
Once the mask is tight on your face, if there’s no space between your chin and the silicone skirt, you’ve got the right size.
